"American Airlines Salutes the US Post Office as Transportation Pioneer" -- Charles J. Andres

Used by American Airlines to promote airmail. Client wanted transportation including pony express rider, a wood burning loco, a sidewheeler steamboat, a Concord coach with two teams of horses, and a Constellation airplane flying through the sky. Initially commissioned to John Falter, renowned artist for many Saturday Evening Post covers, but didn't want to do it, since with all that stuff in it could be a real mess. Things that didn't belong together had to be made to look believable. ca. 1946
